Our Program

Both before and aftercare programs will offer tutoring and homework support for our scholars. These programs will also provide snacks.

Throughout the year, students in the program will have the opportunity to play board games, use the gym to play basketball, volleyball, etc.

Hours of Operation

• Before Care: 7:00 AM - 9:20 AM (each day school is in session)
• After Care: Dismissal - 6:00 PM (each day school is in session)

* After care will not be provided on any early release days. There may be situations beyond our control when we must close the program.

Fees

• Registration Fee: $25 one child / $40 per family (non-refundable)
• Before School Program: $30 per week
• After School Program: $30 per week

Fees are a per-student charge and are charged weekly. There are no prorated amounts unless there is no school per the district.

Payments

Payment is due in full by the Friday prior to the upcoming week. Accounts that are not current will incur a $10 late fee and prevent your child from participating in the program.

Drop-off & Pick-up Location: Students must be dropped off and picked up at the front entrance of Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School. If a student is dropped off before 9:15 AM they will be placed in the Before School Program and charged the daily fee. Students not picked up by 4:30 PM will be placed in the After School Program and charged the daily fee.

Closing Time & Late Pick-Up Fees: The After Care program closes promptly at 6:00 PM each day. The person picking up your child must have proper identification (unauthorized contacts will not be permitted). If picked up after 6:00 PM, a $1 per minute late fee will be assessed. Late fees must be paid prior to returning. After (3) late pick-up charges, the fees will double.

Program Rules & Conduct: Programs follow the school discipline policy and District Code of Conduct. Cell phones are permitted but may be restricted if abused. Only clear water bottles are allowed.

Financial Policies: There will be a $35 fee for any returned checks (insufficient funds), and services will be suspended until resolved. Upon return of a second charge, fees must be paid in cash for the remainder of the school year. There are no refunds for any student. Outstanding late fees must be paid prior to attending field trips or events (dances, movies, etc.). Fees follow students to their next school and may impact graduation.
